The Scoring Office provides an optical scanning service for reading National Computer System (NCS) compatible scan sheets. A major use of this service is to score and record item responses to tests. Systems are available to help grade-keeping, test and item analysis, feedback to students, and other class records. Scanning is also available for non-test forms, including the Student Instructional Rating System (SIRS) and a wide variety of surveys.
